Administrative Assistant - Newberry, SC

JOB SUMMARY:

 

Functions as Office Manager providing administrative and accounting support for the County Extension office.  Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

 

40% - Essential - Administrative Support:  Manages daily office operations including telephone call and visitors.  Provides administrative support to the District Director, the County Coordinator and all county staff including preparing general and confidential correspondences such as news articles, reports and program materials.

40% - Essential - Accounting Support:  Processes daily accounting transactions including payables, reimbursements and invoices.  Serves as credit card liaison and requisitioner in CU buyWays.  Prepares receipts of grant, gift and revenue funds according to university policies and procedures.  Coordinates deposits with second assigned person and ensures deposit information is accurate and provided to CAFLS Business Office.

10% - Essential - Reporting:  provides financial reports utilizing CUBS queries for monthly reports to professional staff.  Reconcile non-grant budget Status Reports and revenue reports monthly.  Ensure reports are reviewed and approved by District Director.

10% - Essential - Filing:  Maintain current files pertaining to Extension policies and procedures including Civil Rights files subject to federal audit.  Set up and ensure mileage logs are utilized by drivers in all county assigned state or federal vehicles for vehicle use accountability.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education -  High School or Equivalent - Work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related work experience.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

 

Band: 04 ($31,600 - $36,000)

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL

 

Normal Operations

Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
