JOB SUMMARY:

Works independently on the Operations team of Campus Reservations & Events (CR&E) to coordinate student staffing and management of evening and weekend operations in CR&E venues. Supervises and supports Operations student staff that are managing CR&E venues and providing audio/visual technology, furniture, equipment to clients with events and reservations in CR&E spaces. Creates and implements student staff trainings. Other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

35% - Essential - Evening and Weekend Management: Responsible for evening and weekend management, providing supervision and support to CR&E Operations student staff, facilities, events, and A/V needs. Works autonomously to make decisions and ensure that venues and events are appropriately staffed and that assigned staff are able to provide exceptional customer service through the delivery of required services. When necessary, responds to specific locations to rectify concerns.
30% - Essential - Technical Support: Works independently to coordinate and supervise the daily and evening operation of all venues with a focus on Hendrix Student Center, Student Senate Chambers, and academic spaces managed by CR&E to ensure that facilities, inventory, and equipment are well-maintained, aesthetically pleasing, and safe.
25% - Essential - Student Supervision: Actively involved in the hiring, training, evaluation, and supervision of student staff member. Creates, implements, and manages a training model that ensures all student staff members are appropriately prepared to be successful in their assigned roles, which may include daily operation, changeovers, technical services, and exceptional customer service.
5% - Essential - Operations: Serves as a contact for all building tenants in venues managed by Campus Reservations and Events to ensure consistent communication, as well as ensuring that all facilities are well-maintained, aesthetically pleasing, and safe.
5% - Essential - Departmental: Serves as a member of Campus Reservations & Events staff by meeting regularly with supervisor, attending staff meetings, retreats and participate in departmental committees. Supports departments reporting and assessment efforts.  Actively engages in intentional review and planning that leads to improvement of CR&E staff, services, and venues. Actively assists Director and Associate Director in developing strategic short and long-term plans regarding student staffing models, venue maintenance, equipment replacement through priorities and capital projects.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education -  Bachelor's Degree - and relevant program experience
Work Exp 1+ years

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Education - 2nd Bachelor's Degree - Event Management, Engineering, Communications, Student Affairs

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

Expected Salary ($ 45,300.00)

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL

Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
