The Department of Genetics and Biochemistry at Clemson University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the ASSISTANT PROFESSOR level, with an expected start date of August 2025. We seek a candidate with expertise in mechanisms of biological resilience and/or adaptations to environmental stress. The successful candidate will demonstrate productivity, scientific excellence, and a commitment to enhancing the breadth, depth, and diversity of research programs in the Department of Genetics and Biochemistry. Genetics and biochemistry are keys to understanding the natural world. In the department, students and faculty partner together using all types of organisms, from microbes to plants and humans, to solve complex challenges in diverse research topics, including environmental resilience, population and quantitative genetics, DNA repair, and the structural biology of fundamental macromolecules.
