JOB SUMMARY:
Clemson University's Clemson Computing and Information Technology Department is looking for an IT Governance Concierge to fulfill the following duties:
- This role combines a working knowledge of the University's functional capabilities across its various business, academic, and research activities with an enterprise perspective on technology frameworks and best practices for minimizing institutional risk and maximizing resource efficiency.
- This role serves as the air traffic controller for the institution's IT Governance (ITG) operating model, fielding IT solution requests from sponsors from across campus and ensuring they are appropriately routed, vetted, and disposed of according to ITG policies, procedures, and processes.
- This role will partner with the solution requestor/sponsor from end-to-end and see each request through from intake to final disposition and implementation where necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
40% - Essential - ITG Solution Request Facilitation:
Serve as the front-line staff contact responsible for the initial intake of all ITG requests and route accordingly. Ensure that stakeholders can easily find, navigate, and complete the necessary steps to acquire a technology solution through the ITG process. Serve as the process owner for ensuring all ITG requests have the necessary data and completed questionnaires prior to advancing to ITG review. Work with requestors/sponsors to remedy incomplete information during the intake process. Responsible for providing status reports on each ITG request to ITG and IT leadership and maintaining those status reports in a central database. Partner directly with the requestor/sponsor to appear before the ITG Review Board where applicable and work to document and address any needs arising from the Board's review. Ensure proper disposition and logging of all ITG requests and registering solutions appropriately in a central database. Work with other IT staff to communicate available IT solutions to stakeholders via a web interface.
30% - Essential - ITG Customer Support and Guidance:
Serve as the most prominent customer-facing role in ITG to guide customers efficiently through the ITG process and arrive at the IT solution they need to perform their work. Maintain constant communication with requestors/sponsors on the status of their IT solution requests and work closely with requestors to gather data and information needed to complete ITG reviews. Work directly with requestors to proactively identify solutions or alternative solutions that will fit the business need and provide guidance for implementation. Provide training and documentation for University stakeholders to easily navigate the ITG process.
20% - Essential - Collaboration with IT and Functional Teams:
As the internal IT owner of each individual request, partner with necessary individuals and teams within IT to assess, review, and advance IT solution requests including security, project management, infrastructure, accessibility, customer service, and others. Work collaboratively with other functional teams where necessary across the enterprise to explore feasibility of proposed IT solutions and alignment with strategic and operational plans.
10% - Essential - Documentation & Data Collection:
Ensure ITG requests are properly logged, documented, and appropriately stored in a central database ¿ ensuring data completeness, quality, and accuracy. Maintain reports where necessary on the status of ITG requests, including wait times, status reports, disposition, etc.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Business Administration, Computer Science (information technology), Mathematics, Statistics; Management Information Science or a related field
Work Experience - Experience in Telecommunications, Data Processing and/or Information Technology. Relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Work Experience - 3-5+ Years experience in Information Technology, Risk Management, Compliance Principles, and Project Management. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audience.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION
Salary Range: ($ 68,397.00 - $ 126,547.00)
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL
Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
