JOB SUMMARY:

 

As Executive Assistant to CURF Executive Director and Recording Secretary for the CURF Board, this position's primary responsibility is administrative support to the leadership of the Foundation. As CURF Office Manager, this position manages day-to-day administrative duties related to personnel, space management, foundation operations, and serves a critical role as initial contact with CURF internal/external constituents. Other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

 

30% - Essential - Executive Assistant to CURF Executive Director: Provides administrative support for Executive Director including managing official correspondence, organizing and managing complex meeting/travel schedules, preparing meeting materials, and maintaining confidential Foundation files, including maintaining official 501(c)3 and 509(a)3 documentation.
30% - Essential - Recording Secretary and Administrative Support to CURF Board of Directors:  Works closely with the CURF Board Chair and ED coordinating all administrative activities for CURF Board, including, but not limited to managing communication, site preparation, and materials for meetings; creating and maintaining records such as membership rosters and committee rosters. Serves as recording secretary at semi-annual Board meetings and all Board Committee Meetings, transcribing minutes and securing signatures for official documentation. Manages and maintains CURF Bylaws and Operational Policies, advising and ensuring appropriate review by CURF Board.
20% - Essential - Office Manager: Serves as key liaison with internal/external constituents; acts as organization's HR liaison, maintaining confidential files, coordinating, and communicating on all HR related matters; holds departmental P-card; maintains office functionality and manages all coordination of keeping office running smoothly; provides other administrative support to office staff as time permits. Manages and maintains semi-annual business continuity plan and review.
20% - Essential - Technology Transfer/Business Development Support: Coordinates administrative aspects of special projects and events for the technology transfer/business development unit; administers two CURF technology maturation grant funding mechanisms, coordinating annual call for proposals, managing collection, review, and notice of awards with Executive Director; serves as lead for managing and coordinating annual Innovation Awards event.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education -  1st Bachelor's Degree
Work Experience 5+ years

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education -  1st Master's Degree

Administrative experience in a non-profit organization

RESPONSIBILITIES

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.

Provides Budget Input - Provides input into the budgeting process, and oversees fund allocation.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

 

Expected Salary: $46,655.00 - $66,000.00
 

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL

 

Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
