JOB SUMMARY:

 

Clemson University's Web Development Team is looking for a Senior Web Developer to fulfill the following duties:

  • The purpose of this position is to provide analytical and technical support for Workday Extend as part of the CCIT Web development Team. 
  • The position will actively interact with customers and assist the team manager in determining project scopes and timelines based on priorities and resources. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

 

40% - Essential - CCIT Web Team Development:
Lead projects to which you are assigned. Direct and manage those team members assigned to you for the development life cycle. Help to organize tasks and assignments based on priority. Provide feedback to the supervisor when problems arise.
30% - Essential - Operational Support: 
Provide support to existing CCIT Web Applications. Assist in coding, debugging, testing, and documenting all maintenance activities. Serve on-call rotation duty as required.
20% - Essential - System Performance: 
Proactively monitors, supports, and manages database utilization. Identifies and averts performance and tuning trends or problems that could degrade system performance or availability.
10% - Essential - Professional Development and Mentoring: 
Researches, evaluates, and stays current on technology tools, techniques, and emerging technology. Provides technical mentoring and cross-training.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education - Bachelor's Degree in communications, computer science, or a related field 

Work Experience - Experience in information technology. Related experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

 

Work Experience - 3+ Years

Preferred Training - Completed Workday Extend Training

Standard Hours: 37.5 Hours / Week

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

 

Expected Salary Range ($ 66,400.00 - $ 119,500.00)
 

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL

 

Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
