JOB SUMMARY:

 

Clemson University's Advancement Division is looking for a Donor Relations Manager to fulfill the following duties:

  • Manages the effective stewardship of philanthropic gifts by ensuring thoughtful and impactful communications and creative donor engagement.  
  • Reports to the Director of Donor Communications within the Central Donor Relations team. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

 

50% - Essential - Project Management: 
Manages multiple annual donor communication and reporting projects including but not limited to endowment reports, scholarship/fellowship notifications, student profiles and scholarship videos; Facilitates opportunities for students to communicate personalized gratitude messages to their scholarship/fellowship donors, including both print and digital platforms; Produces impact communications for targeted donor groups based on annual stewardship strategy; Assists the Director of Donor Communications to develop and execute milestone communications which celebrate important philanthropic milestones and encourages continued support for Clemson; Ensures efficient, effective and consistent donor experiences across multiple donor bases.
35% - Essential - Strategic Stewardship:
Assists with the thoughtful and timely execution of customized acknowledgments from University leaders based on specific thresholds; Works with the Donor Relations Strategy and Programming teams to create and execute customized and individualized impact reports for specific donors; Identifies opportunities to share student, faculty or other impactful stories to new audiences to enhance donor experiences.
15% - Essential - Stewardship Data and Gift Reporting: 
Develops a working knowledge of CADENCE, Banner, Thankview, and all related stewardship/scholarship platforms to effectively access and troubleshoot issues related to the communication of accurate and timely information; Assists Associate Director of Stewardship Data, as needed, with data integrity updates to effectively maintain a system for stewardship reporting within CADENCE, including but not limited to, stewardship contacts, deceased contacts, fund purpose information, fund beneficiaries, and recognition levels; Assists in the creation and dissemination of gift reports and stewardship-related data for various donor constituencies.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education -  Bachelor's Degree  

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

 

Work Experience - 1+ Years and experience in donor relations, event planning, or related experience or/and stewardship and communications preferred.  Experience within a higher education or non-profit environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Constituent Relationship Management software

WORK SCHEDULE:

 

Standard Hours:: 37.5/week

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

 

Expected Salary Range:$ 38,985.00 - $ 45,000.00
 

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL

 

Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
