JOB SUMMARY:
Clemson University's Application Services Team is looking for an Intake Specialist to fulfill the following duties:
- The Intake Specialist will provide independent functional and technical analysis, design and implementation and maintenance of complex, technical solutions critical to the mission of Clemson University.
- Work with Product team leads to implement changes and enhancements to projects in the area of Electronic Content Management and eSignatures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
40% - Essential - Collaboration: Develop knowledge of business processes and technologies for assigned projects in ECM and Workflow. Work with campus leads and product owners to prepare detailed documentation on system operations and development requirements. Troubleshoot, analyze, gather requirements and propose resolutions. Communicate potential impact of solutions. Execute solutions. Tests independently and in collaboration with product owners. Will be expected to work autonomously with other ITS teams, requiring less input and advisement from supervisor.
30% - Essential - Documentation: Work with product owners, product teams, product managers, and vendors to understand business needs and vendor product roadmaps for all ECM, eSig, and Work Flow related products. Document requirements into functional and technical specifications using a variety of business analytic techniques. Recommend solutions to product owners. Works with product team to implement and test enhancements based on University roadmap and priorities. Coordinate with other ITS teams to implement solutions and communicate those solutions across parties.
15% - Essential - Reporting: Work with ECM/eSig product teams and product owners to define and document reporting needs and create reports within applications and/or external reporting systems. Coordinate with other ITS teams to implement solutions and communicate solutions to appropriate parties.
15% - Essential - Software Testing: Use automated testing tools when available. Maintain and enhance testing scripts, execute on schedule, troubleshoot results, and works with product line to recommend enhancements to business processes. Will be responsible for working directly with software vendor of testing tool to solve problems and convey needs of the department.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Bachelor's Degree in computer science or a related area
Work Experience - Experience in computer system development and modification. Relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be detail-oriented with excellent analytical, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Experienced in writing functional specifications for programmers related to software systems.
- Prefer prior experience as an active business analyst.
- Advantage for project management or business analyst certification

WORKING CONDITIONS:
5%- Overnight Travel
10%- Overtime is required during peak periods and to meet deadlines/milestones. Travel to professional meetings on and off campus is expected. Developing and delivering presentations at professional conferences may be required.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Standard Hrs: 37.5; Expected Salary Range ($ 80,000.00 - $ 96,869.00)

Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
